Saturday 13/02/21 Finding Misty (Miss Tee)

Rob decided to investigate the Bremer Bay, golf course this morning and I decided to accompany him for the walk. Arriving at the course we met a lovely couple who had just finished playing 9 holes. They chatted to us and explained that they were also on holidays, coming from Jurien Bay.  I then realized that they were the same couple who camped opposite us in the caravan park. They offered Rob the use of one of their buggies which he took up as the course was very hilly. On the first tee he found Mr Tee’s sister, Misty who will now feature in photos. (Funny follow-up story to this, was that Barry (one of our new Jurien Bay friends) had apparently hit such a great drive on the first tee that he left his tee on the t-block which Rob then claimed when he went to play the first hole.) Golf was fun and challenging in some places. After lunch we decided to check out the Museum at the Wellstead Homestead. We walked around many old farm buildings, full of lots of old stuff, including cars, tractors, bikes, farm machinery etc. We visited the famous café here for coffee and cake. Delicious. From here we drove down to Bremer Bay and decided to drive all the way around the bay on the beach, a distance of 7km. At the end of the bay there were a few other 4w drive vehicles but most of the people there were in a much younger age group compared to us. (Rob didn’t seem to mind.) We returned back to the park and spent a lovely couple of hours having drinks with and chatting to the lovely couple we had met out at the golf course.

3 Tees
