Saturday 20/02/21 Cleaning up in Ceduna
We needed to do a fair bit of re-stocking of fruit and vegetables as we had run everything down before crossing the border. I had washing to do and the vehicle needed a huge clean as it was covered in dead locusts. Rob had managed to remove some of them with a bucket but they were in the engine and required something a bit stronger. We took the vehicle to a car washing place and used a high-pressure hose to clean and remove more of the locusts. It was amazing how many were stuck inside the engine and under the car. We did a shop and after lunch headed out in the car to do some exploring, mainly down at Thevenard which really is the port area for Ceduna. There is a long loading jetty and a channel for large ships to come in to collect either, salt, gypsum, grain etc. While out at Thevenard we found the local fish factory and purchased some fish to help restock the fridge and freezer.
